Library Committee advances strategic plan with Fast Forward Libraries workshop.

Library Committee · Meeting of February 7, 2026

CONCORD — The Concord Library Committee and Library Trustees conducted a joint strategic planning workshop with consultant Amanda Standerfer of Fast Forward Libraries on February 7. Director Emily Smith emphasized that a current Strategic Plan is required for eligibility for state grant opportunities. Standerfer presented a Learning Report documenting a 98.6 percent satisfaction rate and significant service increases over five years, then facilitated group discussions that synthesized participant priorities into five strategic directions: community engagement, programming, technology, facilities, and staff development.

A draft Strategic Plan will be ready for the Committee's April 7, 2026 meeting.
