Historic Districts Commission continues security camera and signage applications to next meeting.

CONCORD — Historic Districts Commission continues two applications with design concerns. The Town of Concord's proposal to install four exterior security cameras on Town House at 22 Monument Square was continued to February 25 after commissioners found the visible conduit and housing would clutter a prominent civic building's façade. Mary Vassel's flat wall sign at 34 Main Street was also continued to February 25, with commissioners requesting a softer, less contemporary shape and darker background color.
The Commission unanimously approved officers: Chair Kate Chartener, Vice Chair Tim Whitney, and Secretary Walter Clay. Concord Free Public Library will add $8,000 to $10,000 to paint storm window frames to match existing trim on the library's main façade.
