Concord extends 2229 Main Street cleanup timeline to 2031. Chair Ray Bruttomesso reported that EPA project manager Kara Nierenberg has slipped the remediation timeline by two years, with the agency now expecting to issue a Site Wide Ready for Anticipated Use certification in 2031. The Oversight Committee will participate in an April 2 EPA public meeting and is preparing input on post-remediation site appearance, bog reuse, and groundwater monitoring.
Members, including Ed Nardi and Clerk Pam Rockwell, plan to submit detailed comments on incomplete 1,4-dioxane plume bounding and request additional PFAS sampling data.
