CONCORD — The Concord Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Commission voted unanimously, 5-0, to condemn the white nationalist group Patriot Front after hateful posters appeared in town in September. Chair Andrea Fonserrava and members Joe Palumbo, Brian Farber, Liz Russ and AJ Trunatore approved Trunatore's draft statement calling the group "antithetical" to Concord's values. Members said they learned of the incident through local outlet the Concord Bridge rather than any town notice, and one member said there was "no clear answer, honestly" on when the town issues public statements on bias incidents.
Separately, Fonserrava previewed the commission's 2026 community survey, showing positive perceptions of Concord as welcoming rose from 46 percent to 52 percent and discrimination reports dropped by half, with affordable housing now ranked residents' top priority. A resident, Ed Larner of the Community Preservation Committee, raised a $770,000 ADA-accessible trail connector to Concord Middle School facing a funding shortfall.
