Concord's Community Preservation Committee approved a fund reallocation for Thoreau Elementary School athletic fields improvements. Chair Diane Proctor and Vice Chair Jeff Collins reviewed the original application and determined the School Department's request to shift the CPC award remained within the broad scope of open space and recreation improvements. The Committee voted 6-0-1 on the reallocation, with Treasurer Andrew Boardman recusing himself because his child attends Thoreau School.
The Committee also held a public information session on the Community Preservation Act and outlined the FY2027 application cycle, with applications due September 18, 2026.
