Concord250 Committee approves lantern lighting upgrade for $2,200. The Concord250 Executive Committee unanimously voted to fund Art for All's upgrade to the commemorative lantern, which has been used at more than 50 community events including the Patriots Day Ball and the Concord Museum Gala. The committee also received updates on the Concord250 book project, which is on track for completion in early fall with a 500-copy print run and a mid-September launch party; the related Quilt books have already sold more than 400 copies.
Committee members discussed the transition of the permanent memorial tree project to town department oversight, with some trees showing signs of failure that a contractor is working to remedy.
