Historical Commission · Meeting of August 13, 2026
Concord Historical Commission explored multiple structures for town history interpretation without reaching a decision. On August 13, Select Board liaison Paul Boehm sought the Commission's guidance on how to structure work related to a potential fiscal 2027 goal concerning how the town tells its history in public spaces. Chair Douglas J.
Ellis and members Lauren Meier, Robert Munro, and Nancy Fresella-Lee discussed various scenarios, including hiring a consultant for a formal interpretive plan, creating an advisory committee, or having the Commission undertake the work directly. No formal decision was made, though the Commission agreed to further deliberation. The group also refined a letter opposing proposed federal changes to the National Historic Preservation Act's Section 106 requirements and approved prior meeting minutes unanimously, 4-0.
