Commission on Disability discussed establishing a framework for early input into town accessibility projects.

Commission on Disability · Meeting of September 17, 2026

CONCORD — Commission on Disability discussed establishing a framework for early input into town accessibility projects. Members met with Interim Director of Public Works Aaron Miklosko and Building Commissioner Kevin Pickering to discuss infrastructure improvements and major developments; a 2025 Stantec study identified 6 million dollars in needed sidewalk repairs and 11 million dollars in new sidewalk additions. The Commission will review plans for Novo Riverside and Alta Thoreau as part of efforts to provide disability perspective during design phases.

Jessica Porter, Assistant Town Manager, agreed to explore notification procedures, and a remote Town Meeting participation pilot is scheduled to launch February 1.
