Commission approves four applications, continues two others

CONCORD — Historic Districts Commission approves Pride crosswalk and three other applications unanimously. The commission, chaired by Kate Chartener with five voting members present, cleared a temporary multicolored crosswalk at 28 Main Street for a June Concord Pride celebration; approved Mary Diem's patio door replacement at 100 Keyes Road Unit 211; and conditionally approved Danlor LLC's blade sign at 26 Main Street pending final design review. The Concord Center for the Visual Arts' revised fence and lighting plan at 37 Lexington Road was also unanimously approved.
Two substantial projects were continued to April 15: Chris Manning's window and door replacements at 52 Bow Street and Boynton Brennan Builders' two-story addition at 83 Monument Street, with commissioners emphasizing the need for new construction to remain subordinate to historic structures.
