Concord bias work group halts community input, readies June presentation. The Bias and Hate Incident Reporting Work Group concluded it had gathered sufficient data from 14 participants across four community focus sessions, ending its public input phase despite low attendance at the March 29 session. Paul Boehm said the group will present findings to the Select Board on June 8.
Members reviewed Concord-Carlisle Schools' reporting system, presented by Andrew Nyamekye, Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging, and Superintendent Dr. Laurie Hunter, which uses Google Form submissions with automatic police notification and emphasizes anonymous reporting. The work group outlined a phased implementation plan using existing town staff at an estimated 0.25 FTE to start.
