Concord Housing Development Corporation board reports multiple affordable housing initiatives moving forward. Assabet River Homes construction is on schedule for July completion following a May 1 build day with strong volunteer participation; the homes will feature energy-efficient systems and universal design. A buy-down agreement was signed to extend additional funds with a property search underway.
The board discussed diverse housing strategies for the MCI Concord redevelopment project, including workforce housing, deed-restricted units, and attainable housing options. Member Lee Smith was recognized for his years of service.
